For this assignment I chose to focus on black and white photography. I took 50-100 photos and converted some into black and white by which ones looked the most appealing. During this assignment, I found more ways to make depth of field. I actually really like depth of field, I think it looks so cool and it helps show what the main focus is.

For this assignment, we had to take five panoramic pictures. In order to make a panoramic photo, you need to take 5 pictures and Photomerge them together in Photoshop. This was actually a pretty easy assignment, although it was hard to find things that I wanted to take a panoramic of. I think these types of photos look really good and they can be a lot of fun to do!
I took pictures if my sister, Searsha and her friend. I chose to people because I was with people a lot this weekend. I tried to work on my aperture, but I didn't do very good. I learned that natural lighting is so much better than indoor lighting. I didn't edit this picture at all. My f-stop is f/2.8, my ISO is250, and my shutter speed is 1/60.
I was assigned a car and I had to photoshop it to make it look like it would be in a catalog.
PeopleFor my second photo assignment I chose to take pictures of people. I am going to try and work on my aperture. I think these are good examples of people. I really like how the background is out of focus and I like how you can see the emotion through the picture.
I had a hard time figuring out what I should take a picture of, but I decided that I would do nature because I absolutly love taking pictures of nature and plants. Anything outside I enjoy taking pictures of, they always have really good depth of field and texture oppurtunites. I learned how lighting really affects the quality. I didn't do any editing to this photo. My F Stop is 2.8, my shutter speed is 1/200, and my iso is 160. For this assignment we had to take a picture of ourselves. Then in Photoshop we had to create an image with four sections of the pictue with each one having a different color. I learned many new things in Photoshop and lots of new shortcuts on the keyboard. I think this was a really cool assignment to do and I actually really like my picture.
Nature/ LandscapesFor my first photo assignment I chose to do nature/ landscape. I am gong to to try to work on my framing. I think these are all good examples of landscape because theres good rule of thirds and I really like the reflection in the water.
Shutter Speed:In photo #1 and photo #4 you can see the difference in the shutter speed by looking at the water coming out of the fountain. The 1/8 shutter speed is very slow, so you can see most of the water coming out, while 1/200 is very fast so you can only see a tiny bit of the water. Aperture:You can't really tell but I was trying to make the background more in focus and the chips in focus. In my 2.8 photo the chips are supposed to be the main focus and the background should be blurry. In my 8.0 photo everything should be in focus (if it wasn't such a bad photo). A fast shutter speed allows less light into the picture, making the photo freeze motion. A slow shutter speed causes motion blur. A large aperture causes everything in the photo to be in focus. A small aperture focuses on one thing and makes the background blurry.
We were assigned to take eleven pictures of the elements of composition, including rule of thirds, pattern, symmetry, etc. We learned what different things on the cameras mean. I learned how to properly use the eleven elements of composition, and how to take a good, high quality picture.
